Dial up connection setup with Windows 2000 internet
connection wizard

To start the wizard, click on Start then highlight Settings then then click on Network and Dial-up Connections.

Step 1
Double Click on " Make new connection "

Step 2
Click "Next" to continue
|

Step 3
Select Dial-up to the Internet and click "Next".

Step 4
Choose " I want to setup my Internet connection manually or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN) " .

Step 5
Choose " I connect through a phone line and a modem " then click " Next
" to continue.

Step 6
Enter the telephone number as "041".
Ensure that the "Use area code and dialling rules" is unchecked. Click "Next" to continue.

Step 7
Enter your Dial-up user name and password. Use the name that you proposed on application or as advised by our HelpDesk personnel.
Click "Next" to continue.

Step 8
Now type a name to associate with your connection then click " Next " .
Tip : It may be useful to give
a name that is related to
to your ISP, like Comone
|

Step 9
If you need to set up the Internet email account using Outlook Express email agent, you can do so here by selecting "Yes" before clicking "Next" . This will take you to Email set-up dialogue on clicking "Next".

Click " Finish " to complete the Dialup connection creation.
